In conjunction with its other fat burning games, Nintendo has just recently launched a new peripheral to add to the list called the Wii Fit. The Nintendo Wii gaming console has brought the fun back to video games, in the form of a worldwide motion activated phenomenon that is taking the world by storm. Most of the games that the Wii has come out with have been designed almost as if a calisthenics professor was at the heart of all of those making this incredibly awesome game system. The games are about the players becoming fully active with their arms and legs at almost all times when interacting with this high tech almost alien console system.
When you play Wii games, you must keep in mind the surroundings around you because of all of the activity that must be produced from each player in order to make sure that they are playing the game properly and efficiently.
Though it was not designed to be anything other than another high-tech video game system but it has caught on like fire across the world and has revolutionized how people will be able to interact with all video games in the future. Most people that play video games are not really fully engaged. If you think about it, think of the last time that you were playing a video game on one of the other home entertainment systems that are available.
Wii Fit Merges Entertainment and Exercise
More and more the Nintendo Wii is really starting to look like the perfect marketing storm. Nintendo will further blur the line between gaming and fitness on May 19th, when the company releases the Wii Fit bundle in the United States. The Wii Fit bundle includes a wireless balance board and over 40 exercise routines. The Wii Fit also can tell if a person’s weight distribution is uneven and provide tips on improving balance.
The Wii Fit’s hefty $89.99 price tag is at least justified by the wide range of exercises it includes. The exercises are grouped under four different training modes: strength training, yoga, aerobics and balance games. Finally the balance games include heading a soccer ball, walking a tight rope, doing ski jumps and more. Though Nintendo has been reluctant to refer to the Wii as a fitness solution, the company is certainly aware of the system’s adoption into American fitness culture. While health-conscious groups have complained for years about how video games make kids lazy, Nintendo (whether intentionally or unintentionally) has managed to bridge the gap between the gaming and fitness communities. Wii games are recognized worldwide as wii world games.
